Description
The Roman Villa of Toralla is still called Finca Mirambell, because the land was owned by this family who, in fact, was the one who found the first remains of this archaeological site in Vigo, in the 20s of last century.
The main peculiarity of this site, which dates from the 4th and 5th centuries AD, is that it is the only Roman village in Galicia that is completely excavated and can be visited.
There are two types of route, one exterior view, with information panels on the location, and another among the remains of the village. Thus, the different rooms of the house, the salt mines and a complex thermal system can be appreciated that denotes the high social position of its inhabitants.
