Milk and Beans is a coffee bar that serves pastries, cakes, and healthy fast food for kids and adults. It is meant for parents, particularly moms, to relax and have a good time while they comfortably watch their children have fun as well. The café has an open-play area specially designed for preschoolers to learn-through-play, use their imagination and develop psychomotor skills.
We were inspired to open this business because there are no options for parents, particularly moms, to hang out and have a nice cup of coffee while caring for a small child. Traditional coffeeshops, or even modern restaurants, are not designed as kid friendly zones. Children need to play and explore in order to learn, and they cannot do so while seating in a boring restaurant chair. Also, parents need to socialize with other adults, and have a break from daily routine.
