Little Peacock Coffee Shop

Welcome to The Little Peacock, a play café that caters to big and little appetites! With a varied menu, great coffee (and tea) and plenty of toys and games, you can relax with friends, whilst your kids do the same.

We opened our doors in March 2021, during the coronavirus pandemic. Initially we were only open for takeaways and new parent support groups, so that the frazzled lockdown parents had somewhere to go! When hospitality venues were allowed to open in May 2021, we were delighted to finally be able to welcome everyone in.

We have a varied programme of events and groups, including pre-school dance, Bambis (breastfeeding support), baking classes, after school Lego club, drama, Mama and baby yoga, salsa, storytelling, craft, music, and coding club.

The venue is also available for hire for events and private parties. We also enjoy hosting Makers’ Markets and other community events. As a new business, we are keen to build on this and establish our status as a community hub. We are always receptive to feedback and new ideas, so feel free to pop in for a cuppa and a chat with us!

Facilities

The main café: We are fortunate to have a big space, which is available to hire out for parties and events. We have eleven tables, which can be moved aside for dancing, soft play or even a bouncy castle! We work with various party professionals and can supply you with all of your party requirements including a DJ, magician, animal man, character mascot, face painter and a balloon display. Alternatively, we can also hire it out for grown up parties. (Our corkage rates are super competitive!) The main café is £180 for party hire, and we have a range of hot and cold buffet options. The Nest: Our side room, The Nest, is available for smaller events and gatherings. The cost is £75 for two hours, and includes access to the toys and sensory room in the main café.

The Sensory room: We are currently refurbishing and are soon to have a fully functioning baby sensory room! This will be bookable for free sessions, and baby sensory classes.

Toddler Trims: We are lucky to have our very own fabulous in house hairdresser, Linzi. She currently works all day Wednesdays, Friday afternoons and all day Saturdays.
