Description
The Municipal Museum of Vigo was born with the donation to the city, in 1924, of the Pazo de Castrelos owned by D. Fernando Quiñones de León, Marqués de Alcedo, who arranged to have it dedicated to the museum.
The building, together with its gardens, is a first-class museum element as it largely retains its original structure and layout.
That is why the Quiñones de León Museum intends to fill a gap in the existing Galician offer, as is the offer of an interpretive space around this theme with a language that combines the display of original works with the narration of the cultural contexts of each moment.
