After almost 30 years preparing one of the most famous tortillas in Barcelona at the legendary Bar Michigan in Travessera de Gràcia, in 2013 we returned to our beloved Galicia with the best tapas and portions on our menu.
The Michigan of Barcelona was one of the favorites of the writer Vázquez Montalbán, who came every day to enjoy the atmosphere, the food and the chat with the waiters. The bar is a landmark in its neighborhood, an establishment steeped in history that in the fifties was the headquarters of the Ramallets peña. We inherited the name from then, without anyone remembering who gave it that name or why.
In the menu of the new Michigan, located in the center of Nigrán (where Bar América was in the sixties), we have introduced some of our most successful dishes in Barcelona, with a series of fixed tapas and others that change every day: Vegetable or cod omelette with tomato bread, croquettes, snails, butifaina, Riojan potatoes, grandmother's tripe ... Simple but tasty proposals, so you can eat as well as at home, or better! ;)
