Brompton Food Market

Located just a few yards from South Kensington tube station, Brompton Food Market is an independent deli, cafe and grocer all under one roof and one very large parasol. We opened in 2014 and since then we’ve become a regular stop off for local residents, workers and visitors to the area.

The food we serve is made in-house on a daily basis from terrific ingredients sourced carefully and seasonally. Our menu is made up from simple dishes and it’s cooked and served by friendly staff who care about what they do. It’s all available to eat in or takeaway and if you’ve got a few orders we might even deliver it if you’re nearby.

Our coffee is from Caffeine who have supported us since the day we opened. We’ve worked hard training staff and constantly tasting and re-tasting to ensure their “London Calling” roast is amazing no matter how you choose to drink it. As well as regular, we’ve got soy and almond milk so you can have your coffee however you want – wet, dry, cold, warm, scalding skinny, decaf, long, short or just hot and black. Tell us what you like and we’ll do our best to make it!

We’ve also got a fantastic hidden garden out the back of the shop away from the traffic and crowds of South Kensington. Its privacy is unique for the area and during the winter it’s covered and heated with sheepskin-covered seats and blankets to wrap yourself in. Come summer you’ll find the perfect sun trap which is full from mid-morning onward every day. Oh and we’re fully licensed too.

As well as all this you’ll find plenty of well stocked shelves laden with exciting food items and fridges full of meat, smoked fish, terrines, charcuterie and cheese all painstakingly curated from all over the UK and Europe.
