Parque Infantil da Quinta do Covelo

In the 18th century, Quinta do Covelo, then called Lindo Vale or Boa Vista, belonged to a nobleman called Pais de Andrade, whose descendants sold it to Manuel José do Covelo, a businessman. In the 19th century, between 1829 and 1830, the farm was sold, by Covelo's descendants, to Manuel Pereira da Rocha Paranhos and also became known as Quinta do Paranhos.  In the 20th century, the farm was donated to the CMP and the Ministry of Health, by will, with the impediment of indivisibility and for the construction of a hospital for tuberculosis patients. As the Ministry of Health did not need to build the aforementioned hospital equipment there, the Porto City Council currently manages almost the entire space.    Other Information of Interest: Siege of Porto Arch.
