La Casa Encendida

La Casa Encendida is a social and cultural center of the Montemadrid Foundation, an open and dynamic space, for all audiences, where some of the most avant-garde artistic expressions coexist with educational, reflection and debate activities, which revolve around its four areas of action: Culture, Solidarity, Environment and Education. From each one of them various activities are developed that respond to the interests and demands of a public committed and interested in current trends.

Adapting to global changes and anticipating new social and cultural needs continues to be our greatest challenge. For this reason, from La Casa Encendida we work to continue growing as:

• A leading and avant-garde cultural center that offers activities around the plastic and visual arts, performing arts, music, literature and cinema to promote the creation, dissemination, understanding and citizen participation in contemporary culture.
• Social center that promotes personal improvement, social integration and teamwork through projects and activities in the field of disability, cooperation, employment and volunteering.
• Non-regulated training center that delves into all its areas of activity from different points of view with the aim of improving skills and acquiring useful tools for professional and personal development.
• Space for reflection and debate on social and environmental problems, with special attention to disadvantaged groups and the third sector, to create networks and contribute to the articulation of a committed and responsible social fabric.
• Platform to support and disseminate the work of new creators through open calls, which arise from the will to promote and provide artists with production and dissemination tools for their work.
• Creation laboratory to develop projects under professional advice using the resources provided by the center: radio and sound laboratories; digital creation and fabrication; photography and audiovisual post-production.
• Focus of stimuli for children and young people where they can develop their imagination and their capacity for experimentation.
• Accessible building with an environmental management system certified by AENOR.
• Meeting point for everyone.
