We are an association born in January 1979 from the restless hearts of Salesians and young people linked to the Salesian presence in Vigo and whose general purpose is to contribute in their free time to the education and integral promotion of children and youth.
Our projects and activities try to develop proposals focused on girls, boys, girls and boys, favoring their integral growth and giving importance to the environment, groups and personal relationship.
We belong to the Federation of Don Bosco Youth Centers of Galicia, of which Abertal is a founding member together with the various Salesian youth centers in the country, which works in the field of prevention, leisure education, youth animation, promotion of the Galician language and culture. and sociocultural development.
In the recent history of Abertal, it stands out that in the year 2002, the City Council of Vigo gave us the mention of Distinguished Viguesa, in recognition of the task that the association has been developing since its beginnings with the youth of Vigo.
